great class, Brian was effective and entertaining teacher. on day 2 of the 16 hour class, a biometrics team came in to offer livescan fingerprinting, photo taking, and "do nothing" application assistance meaning when you are done qualifying at the range, you can let the biometrics team submit the entire application for you and just wait for the permit to come electronically then plastic hard copy later. I recommend this class and would certainly sign up for renewal class as well.
Just finished the 16hr class and Brian was a great instructor. I was a former Wisconsin CCL holding and The format and information he had was great. Also the do nothing program where all fingerprints and info sent to state were done for us was great to. I learned so much from him and he built up confidence in all of us at the class. I highly recommend his class.
Great class! teacher is very interactive and easy to learn from. there’s no way to fail this course.
I highly recommend taking this class, our instructor, Brian was very informative and his team was also incredible. There was classroom Instruction, videos, biometrics finger printing, then they had a representative from the USCCA offering very affordable memberships, and then off to the range for target practice. This program was perfectly structured and again I highly recommend this class.
Came for a renewal class, was provided the latest most relevant information on Illinois firearm laws. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful in the class and at the gun range. If you need to get your FOID card and know nothing about firearms you won't find a better class.

I never thought I’d learn to shoot let alone be a firearm owner. Brian allowed me to feel at ease and worked with me at my pace. He spent extra time with me ensuring my comfort level throughout the classes and post lessons. He is a true expert, professional and extremely thorough. Highly recommend!

As someone who has suffered all my life from a lack of confidence, imagination and empathy, I have come to rely on firearms for a sense of worth, purpose and security. Thank goodness there are other people out there like me who understand the happiness of the hidden gun and can teach me the loving way to handle them. Now I don't feel so alone. I selected Concealed Carry of Illinois (CCI) based on location and schedule. Brian was my instructor. I chose wisely. I attended the 16-hour requirement for Illinois concealed carry. The instruction was outstanding with a seasoned knowledgeable instructor, excellent curriculum material, fair and compliant evaluations, practical firearm knowledge, what-if scenarios, and of course range instruction and evaluation. In the class there were many newcomers to firearms usage. The instructor applied excellent techniques to help ease the apprehension of those who never held a weapon in their life. In addition to a thorough and comprehensive well-presented curriculum, CCI optionally offers near concierge services to help you through the state application process with minimal frustration in overcoming red tape. In our litigious society guidance and support to help you through post-incident entanglements are vital. CCI has thought through this and facilitates professionals to guide you through options. I am a retired military officer with weapons experience from flintlock to modern sidearms and CCI’s curriculum was a testimonial to the adage of “teaching an old dog new tricks”. The training pays dividends above the state requirements, and I have intentions of subscribing to CCI’s recurring and follow on training.
It is always a good time at concealed carry of Illinois training classes.The time the instructor takes in class in at the range with each student if needed, is refreshing and make the experience that much easier while learning firearms/ firearm safety for beginners or experience users. I highly recommend to friends and family. The knowledge you take with you is something you keep with you for a lifetime. Always a 10 out of 10

After decades of gun ownership and usage, I was surprised to learn so much over the 2-days! The format was excellent, the instructor super knowledgeable and the time flew by...plus we got to shoot at the nearby range. Thanks for the top-notch experience!
Brian is very knowledgeable and is able to meet students where they are. His process is very efficient and his coaching is spot on. He’s helped increase my knowledge and level of comfort significantly.
Brian was a great teacher and taught me many things I didn’t know about the mechanics and parts of various handguns. He was kind and patient and also had a good sense of humor. I finished the class with a new outlook on conceal and carry and my responsibility as a conceal and carry licensed person. He also sets you up with the application process to actually get your CCL as well as various options for self defense insurance which I didn’t know existed. Overall would recommend the course!
Great class!! Great informations! After class the test was easy and I felt more confident and comfortable handling a firearm and knowing the laws!
We did a concealed carry private class of 5 people with a wide range of familiarity with handguns, including two people who had never held a firearm. Brian kept us all equally engaged with valuable information on all aspects of concealed carry law, gun maintenance, gun/ammo basics, and safely shooting and owning a gun. When we reached the firing range on day 2, the entire group could safely enter the gun range, operate the handgun, and shoot accurately. We enjoyed the class, and I highly recommend taking his class.

I have taken multiple concealed carry courses in multiple states, and this course is by far the best. All the information was provided in an easily understandable and engaging way. The use of live and video demonstrations and instruction made the time fly by. The class size was small and special attention was paid to each student. Brian ensured that each student's particular questions were answered and that the material was made applicable to their particular circumstances. Brian was an absolute professional. He knew the material forwards and back and it was clear that he was teaching from a lifetime of experience, and not just reading from a handbook. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who doesn't just want a CCL but wants to truly learn how to be a good and responsible gun owner.
